Issue and Attestation of Certificates and Documents



* Accreditation of Certificates of Origin: A Certificate of Origin (CO) is a document attesting that any goods in a particular export shipment should include on a more than 35% of Palestinian material. This is a compulsory condition in export requirements. Virtually, certificates of origin vary according to the imported country. There are certificates of origin for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, another for the Arabic countries, another for the European countries, and another for the rest of the world.

* Authenticate representatives’ membership through the issue of special certificates to be submitted to official and Governmental institutions. Simultaneously, the Chamber attests certificates on framework modifications to commercial institutions, which mainly pertain to amendments of Capital, partnership and other related issues.

* Filling accredited application forms to get the Jordanian Passport

* Attesting all forms of bails including personal bails and warranties for both private and public institutions.

* Submitting sheets specifically designed for traders and members of the Chambers to facilitate their movement under the current unusual circumstances, and facilitating the entry of products into the Governorate through the Israeli checkpoints.

 

Entry Services

The Chamber:

* Offers an entry service to both the trade missions and their employees to facilitate their entry into the neighboring countries; mainly into the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

* Assisting the export and import sectors to have an access to entry visas across the globe.

 

Exhibitions and Trade Missions

* Organizing and coordinating visits of trade delegations to attend international exhibitions in order to acquaint the former with the latest international productions.

* Organizing meetings between the different economic sectors and foreign delegations who represent their foreign institutions.

* Internationally promoting for local products through participation in international exhibitions. Accordingly, visits of participation are usually organized for local trade delegations.

* Regionally promoting for local products through the Chamber permanent product exhibit. Visits to the exhibition are organized for the representatives of the trade missions and investors. Simultaneously, the Chamber is keen to hold working meetings with the producers of the exhibited products, and other concerned parties.

* Issuing promotional trade publications to enhance the marketing of local products.

* Issuing specialized publications on the international exhibition that are held globally.

 

Human Resources Training and Development

The Chamber focuses on activating the role of training to enhance administrative and professional efficiencies of its employees, and to boost manpower efficiency in the private sector. Training activities include:

* Organizing specialized courses and programs for human recourses engaged in production and economic sectors. Courses are tackled on both, the professional and administrative levels. Courses introduced include topics on: Banking, marketing, administration, finance, filing, secretarial skills, and commercial correspondence. Additional courses are offered on languages, as well as administrative and computer skills. All courses are given by experts eminent in their fields.

* Sending trainees abroad to participate in workshops in coordination with foreign and local institutions.

* In coordination with industrial and commercial institutions in the Governorate, a set of training courses are assigned to the new graduates in order to increase their capabilities and occupational expertise.

* Accommodating and training students and volunteers in the different departments of the Chamber.

* Organizing specialized programs and training workshops for the Chamber’s employees to develop their skills and enhance their technical efficiencies through cooperation with experts and training centers.

 

Publishing of Studies, Reports, and Commercial Brochures

The Chamber:

* Releases reports and studies on specialized topics mainly those related to economy and industry. Topics discussed included: The geographical distribution of the industrial sector, studies on the production cost of some consumer goods, reports on the economic situation of the Governorate.

* Pertinently submits assorted information for researchers and students.

* Publishes comprehensive catalogues on industrial local products targeting to promote the latter in the international markets and especially the European ones.

* Distributes and collects a statistical memorandum in order to define and resolute problems encountered by the trade sector.

* Issues chronically comprehensive monthly reports on all activities organized by the Chamber to be discussed by the Administrative Council.

Implementation of Raising Awareness Activities

The Chamber persistently works to raise the general awareness of the local community in matters pertaining to local commerce and industry through:

* Planning for concurrent and permanent tour visits to the Chamber. Visitors include business men, and school students. In such visits, lectures are introduced on the nature, importance, and problems facing local industries.

* A specialized team from the Chamber launches field visits to the different economic institutions for guidance and advice in matters pertaining to the development of their own business.
 

Assisting in Providing Job Opportunities

The Chamber:

* Seeks to organize meetings between job seekers and companies with vacancies.

* Provides local companies with a specialized memorandum on the educational and professional standards existing in the local market. This helps to decrease unemployment and ensures an effective distribution of human capacities. Eventually, this service interrelates with the current economic situation.

 

Electronic Commerce

1. Email services

As part of its policy to enhance technological development, the Chamber provided each of its members with an email account thus seeking to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure effective and prompt delivery of services. This service encouraged the local trade and industry institutions to create links with other national and overseas companies and establishments.

2. Electronic Trading:

The Chamber seeks to create a commercial website that includes information on all local products for promoting and marketing purposes. Hence, employees were sent to attend specialized courses in the field. The handcraft sector will be the starting point since it represents the backbone of tourist trade in the Governorate.
