BCCI is hosting the women institutions development compound

Mrs Majeda Salsa - a board member, and Mr. Saqer Jerashi – Palestinian industries Union chairperson, and |Mr. Ala’ Adili- General manager welcomed a delegation from the women institutions development compound which is considered one of the most compounds in the districts that consists of 17 institutions , in order to encourage the role of such institutions and to support the idea of women's participation in the strategic planning, and community participation in life domains, and to identify priorities and special needs of this sector, and its contribution in pushing the economic wheel.
At the beginning, Mrs. Salsa welcomed the delegation, and thanked their presence and their prominent role in supporting women issues in the districts, and the importance of formulating common vision that achieve the desired aims to prove the position of women in society, and supporting her participation economically in BCCI, and empowering them to increase their number especially that Bethlehem district is the first in establishing businesswomen Center among the other chambers, she pointed to the qualitative services given to business women such as the training courses ,and the exhibitions to promote their product.
From her side, Mrs. Mariam Ismail – a member in the compound expressed her desire to involve several women who have small businesses to the chamber, and the possibility to let them participate in both internal and external exhibitions to market their products especially this the core problem they are facing.
Mr. Adili, clarified the criteria and the requirements that should be taken into consideration for registration, and our chamber is ready to assist these women in displaying their products in our permanent exhibition that include all our district products.
Mr. Saqer Jerashi cleared up that this meeting will be a primer one, in order to reinforce the partnership between the chamber and the compound, mentioning that empowering and reinforcing women and highlight her achievements in economic development is one of the strategic aims for the chamber, in addition to that, he invited them to participate in workshops, and training courses related to them that are held in the chamber now and then.
