The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry receives the Director of VAT and the Director of Customs Control

A meeting was held earlier in the day between the First and Second Deputies of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Director of VAT and other several representatives of the sectoral committees of the members of the General Assembly, where at the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Thaljieh welcomed the attendees and praised the efforts of the Directorate of Value Added Tax and the Customs Authority in achieving economic security in the province, noting the keenness of the Chamber of Commerce to enhance communication with the public sector institutions for the benefit of the Palestinian merchants and consumers.

He pointed out the importance of holding such meetings aimed at strengthening the relationship between the taxpayers and the competent authorities in order to reach a certain formula that will facilitate transactions and procedures, and identify the most important obstacles facing the taxpayers.
Mr. Daraawi pointed out to the need to understand the special circumstance experienced by the national economy especially in recent times, and the need to implement the rule of law when dealing with traders, importers and owners of economic establishments.
For his part, Abu Ayash thanked the Chamber of Commerce for the meeting and stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the private and public sector institutions and the necessity of activating constructive dialogue between the two parties in the interest of the homeland and the citizen. Mr. Abbas stressed the full commitment to the Palestinian law, In the fight against tax evasion and control attempts to introduce corrupt goods to the province.
Several points facing the economic sectors in the governorate and obstacles faced by taxpayers were brought to attention and discussed by the attendees, in addition to various questions and concerns which were addressed during the meeting.
