Leadership and Commitment

 

Since 2002, the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce & Industry has adopted the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The top management has demonstrated leadership and commitment to the implementation of the Quality Management System through:
 
1.    Taking accountability for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
2.    Ensuring that the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System achieves its intended results.
3.    Ensuring that the quality policy and quality objectives are aligned with the chamber’s strategic direction context.
4.    Ensuring that the quality policy is communicated, understood, and applied at all levels within the Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
5.    Ensuring the integration of Quality Management System requirements into daily processes and activities.
6.    Ensuring that the resources needed for the quality management system are available.
7.    Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking at all organizational levels.
8.    Promoting continual improvement and periodically reviewing performance results.
9.    Supporting the relevant management roles to demonstrate leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility. 
10.    Conducting periodic reviews of the Quality Management System to ensure its effectiveness, and taking the necessary decisions for continual improvement.
11.    Ensuring effective communication with all relevant interested parties regarding the importance and objectives of the system, and encouraging employee participation in improving processes and achieving the intended results.

 

The top management of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry further promotes the improvement of Quality Management System practices by monitoring procedures for cases of non -conformity and potential risk-causing situations within its operations and services, working to eliminate these cases, and implementing the necessary corrective actions to minimize their recurrence.
 
Top management also demonstrates its leadership and commitment with respect to focusing on the General Assembly members through:
1.    Identifying, understanding, and meeting the requirements of General Assembly members, as well as applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
2.    Identifying risks and opportunities that affect the quality of services provided and enhancing General Assembly member satisfaction.
3.    Preparing annual plans that include all activities and programs that meet the needs of the General Assembly members. 
4.    Allocating a budget to effectively implement the planned activities and programs.
