Entrepreneurship & Planning in Business

Within the framework of cooperation with US Consulate General - Jerusalem, Businesswomen center in the BCCI has held a workshop titled with “Entrepreneurship & planning in Business”; in the presence of 30 businesswoman from Bethlehem governorate with the specialist Ms. Samira Cook the vice president of Business Development for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), and the founding director of the Washington, DC Women’s Business Center which supports women entrepreneurs.
Mrs. Cook has lunched the workshop by identifying the Palestinian businesswomen and challenges they face in business, turning to view live examples of the reality of the business community in the United States, comparing which by the challenges and difficulties mentioned by the businesswomen. She emphasized on the need for networking and cooperation between women themselves to strengthen their role and creating business opportunities. She also pointed to the need to develop methods used in promoting businesses, and to get the use of the means of social communication, which is considered the most commonly used forum.
The workshop also discussed and presented the most important elements that should be followed in the strategic planning for projects, and businesses, and how to make use of previous and creative examples in different domains.
At the end of the workshop, Mrs. Cook gave the advice to participants, and ascertain on the need of the investment in their thoughts, and she commended on the entrepreneurship in their businesses.
