Industrial committee is arranging a meeting with the customs & excise & VT manager in Bethlehem

The industrial committee in the BCCI has arranged a meeting with the manager of customs & excise & VT manager in Bethlehem Mr. Fawzi Abu Dayyeh to discuss several issues and concerns in relation to the industrial sector in the governorate.

At the beginning, Mr. Saqer Jerashi –a member of the board of directors, and the chairman of Palestinian federation of industries presented the position of the industrial committee of the violations that affect the public interest, he also pointed to the existence of a common committee involving industrials and taxes officers to defend the tax evasion, and achieving taxes equity for all.



Mr. Adel Hodali –the industrial committee representative- from his side raised several issues and concerns with respect to manufacturers & factories owners in Bethlehem governorate; the most important of which is claiming to increase the number of Palestinian selling set-off and to be delivered easily, and to certify all selling purchases invoices including the production process, and taxes recovery.

Mr. Abu Dayyeh clarified that imposing taxes is to achieve equity, and to persuade citizens with the taxes establishment, and work in progress to unify taxes procedures in order to get to a mechanism to shed light on the point of views, and working in proficiency and organization, he also pointed to the excreted efforts with all sides to give facilities needed by the designated to facilitate issues.

At the end, Dr. Samir Hazboun -the chairman of the board of directors-suggested to release informative brochures about the followed procedures in the taxes department ,and to be distributed to members ,and to include inquiries in the electronic press release in order to raise the awareness in such procedures. In addition to that, the industrial committee and the manager of customs & excise & VT manager agreed on the continuous coordination to serve the members of industrial sector in these concerns.
