Industrial committee in BCCI is holding a meeting with JEDCO representatives

The industrial committee in BCCI held a meeting with Jerusalem district electricity co. representative to discuss some issues concerns the industrial sector in the district.
At the beginning, Mr. Saqer Jerashi – a board member welcomed the representatives of JEDCO, and he pointed to the aim of this meeting which is to discuss the electricity –meter reader from the private sector point of view since electricity is one of the most important components in production process, and any change will affect the cost.
Mr. Adel Hodali – the representative of the industrial committee tackled the decision of electricity organizing board in return of applying multi- tariff on the businesses that consume over 60000 KW annually. He confirmed the difficulty of applying this decision in industrial businesses, since most of them located in inhabited locations and it’s hard to run these businesses in evening in which the electricity price would be suitable.at the end, Mr. Ilias Harb clarified- JEDCO representative and for the mentioned reasons, a new decision was issued by electricity organizing board that include applying the industrial tariff which is 58a/K/W/H instead of multi- tariff and to be applied to the businesses that have a problem in night hours .this tariff can be obtained by after a letter sent to the JEDCO clarifying in which the reasons behind their request.
