BCCI launches a study entitled “Analytical Reading for the Results of the Economic Survey”

BCCI has recently released a study entitled “Analytical Reading for the Results of the Economic Survey”, this study reviews the survey released in March 2015, and provides an analytical reading of the most important statistics, besides, it analyzes the investment opportunities in the governorate, where investors can take the right decision in regard to the nature of economic activity they are up to establish after reviewing the existing businesses in the governorate.

This study is the first of its kind in Palestine. BCCI has sought hard for several years to achieve a distinctive goal that maintains its distinguished position in the leadership of the private sector in the governorate. BCCI carried out a comprehensive survey that complied with all the scientific research criteria to determine the total number of registered and non- registered businesses to membership of BCCI in Bethlehem Governorate and spot their location in order to prepare an economic map for the governorate, and highlight the most important obstacles facing the local economy in order to draw future economic policies.

The most important preliminary results revealed that the total number of businesses in the governorate is 6374, 1493 of which are registered to the membership and 4881 aren’t registered, distributed on the most important sectors in the governorate; the commercial, industrial, agricultural ,services , handicrafts ,and contracting. Dr. Samir Hazboun– chairman of the board supervised the results and the analysis of the study which was carried out by the executive team of BCCI which includes Mr. Ala’ Adili –General Director ,Mrs. Fayrouz Khoury –Deputy General Director , Miss Dalia Hussein- Membership & Services Director, and Mr. Maher Mufdi- Financial Manager.
