BCCI Received the International Committee of the Red Cross

The BCCI welcomed a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross to the chamber’s headquarters to discuss the economic situation in Bethlehem Governorate. The meeting focused on the possibility of joint cooperation between the two parties in order to address economic needs.
The two parties discussed mechanisms of enhancing and expanding joint cooperation and the implementation of joint endeavors that could improve the local community situation in impoverished areas, especially with regards to food insecurity and vocational training to provide a livelihood for unemployed Palestinian citizens. The two parties stressed the importance of cooperation in all fields in the service of the Palestinian citizens.
A number of important proposals have been discussed that will help empower the local community, especially in rural areas and areas adjacent to the apartheid wall.
