BCCI Receives a Delegation from Cologne Chamber Craft

Dr. Samir Hazboun, Chairman of Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received a delegation from Cologne Chamber Craft project. The meeting aimed to discuss joint cooperation initiatives between the two Chambers within the German-Palestinian Partnership project.
Dr. Hazboun started by welcoming the delegation and expressing the Chamber’s interest in vocational education and training, emphasizing its importance in meeting the needs of the local market. He likewise explained the importance of such training for alleviating the unemployment rate in Bethlehem governorate. Further, a number of issues were discussed, including results of the first phase of the project and the positive results achieved in different governorates.
Details of the second stage, including suggestions for vocational and technical training courses for implementation within the work plan of the Vocational Training Unit in 2019, were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties signed an agreement to continue cooperation in the field of vocational and technical training.
