Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes a meeting to discuss the latest developments on the proposed amendments of the Labor and Social Security Law

The meeting discussed the most important proposed amendments to the Palestinian labor law through the outputs of the tripartite technical team, which includes the three parties of production (workers, private sector and the government) and emphasizing the need to come up with a modern Palestinian labor law that meets the needs of the private sector and its workers and is in harmony with economic the development by creating new job opportunities that will reduce the unemployment rate. It was also stressed the need to amend other laws such as the Investment Promotion Law in conjunction with the amendment of the Labor Law in order to enhance competitiveness in the private sector, in addition to the necessity of linking the Labor Law with the Social Security Law, harmonizing them and canceling clauses that conflict with the Social Security Act.
