At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hazboun – Chairman of BCCI expressed his gratitude to the importers and traders for their dedication in maintaining the availability of essential food items and for bearing the risks associated with their work, particularly during recent challenging times.

 

He highlighted the exceptional circumstances that Bethlehem Governorate, like other regions in the country, is currently facing. The attendees discussed several critical topics, including food inventory, the challenges facing the sector due to closures and the separation of cities from villages, and the prices of basic products. During the meeting, it was emphasized that collective action and cooperation are essential to ensure the smooth flow of goods to retailers and consumers.
